evita will tour. Bill Kenwright owned the rights to joesph, he gave them back to Lloyd webber in exchange for the rights for Evita, and involvment in the show.

Just read on the internet, so please remember this is pure rumour, that at the end of this year they will start a tour of Sweeney Todd after the huge succsess of the concert and the popularity of the Irish production which has recently closed, and it also it will start around the same time as the film is out (due out 21st december) so we shall have to keep an eye out for that in the near future

The Dublin production of Sweeney Toddwas amazing, and would be good to tour to smaller theatres (It wouldn't work in the 2300 seat Mayflower!). I loved the concert too, but obviously that wouldn't tour :)

oh right I didnt know that, but I think a tour would be very wise, where will smaller tours go now in the southampton area, mayflowers to big, theatre royal in winchester way to samll and the pavillion in Bournemout is being pulled down to make way for a casino, so where will they go near us down here? Id like to know!

Well The Gate, where it played in Dublin, is tiny. Not sure the size of the Theatre Royal, it seems an OK size from the seating chart.
Probably a bit early to talk about theatres for a tour that 'might' happen. But Portsmouth has Kings Theatre, Poole has the Lighthouse, there are many theatres around.

I wouldn't think Avenue Q or Wicked would tour until the West End productions close.

And I'm pleasently surprized in hearing Evita will tour. Has the casting been confirmed yet? And have tour venues been mentioned yet?

When BKL got the rights to Evita, we was originally trying to find a venue back in town for it..bizarrely (i know a person who was approached to Comp. Manage) but it fell through so he settle for a tour instead... no dates finallised yet.
