The Mousetrap sets reopening date

Posted: 7/2/20 at 7:57pm

According to Daily Mail columnist Baz Bamigboye, the worlds longest running play THE MOUSETRAP is preparing to reopen in late October in London’s West End with the theatre COVID-proofed (as much as possible) and social distancing in the audience and for the actors.

Then there’s the stage musical version of SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE coming to the Troubadour Wembley Park in August with Jay McGuiness (The Wanted) and Kimberley Walsh (Girls Aloud) repeating their onstage partnership from the West End BIG The Musical. The Troubadour is like an aircraft hangar so social distancing should be quite straightforward in there.
Really hopes this works out for both of them.

The Mousetrap sets reopening date

I can see The Mousetrap being the easiest to reopen, as it only has a limited number of actors, one set, and doesn't need a full house to break even. But the government still hasn't made it legal to perform in a theatre yet? Are they just gambling that the law will be changed by then?
