Personally, this was my favorite show of the season followed closely by Book of Mormon. I don't know what the critics were smoking wen they saw this show, but it seemed they didn't have much knowledge of Almodovar's body of work or perhaps they hadn't screened the film since the 80s. The musical actually fleshed out more character than the film and provided a much stronger ending (one more suitable for musical theatre, but without compromising the integrity of the original story).

All what I can remember is lots of quick changing scenery and a taxi sporadically moving around.

I remember Sherie Rene Scott (who was the best), sing to a bed of flames, which was amazing theatre. I cannot even remember the story or the end!

I5t wasn't awful, just bad.

Apart from Next To Normal, WOTV was the best show I saw in both my trips to New York in 2010. The score was seriously stunning and the book was one of the most genuinely witty of any show I've seen - period. I was literally aching through laughing so much - literally a laugh a minute, just a constant array of brilliant comic one-liners. And Laura Benanti was simply awesome, backed by a fantastic set of performances from the entire cast.

I've listened!

It's a great score punctuated by some missteps - most IS very good, and all the cast do admirable jobs - but are there many lyrics more cringeworthy than those in 'Madrid is my Mama'?

I am still very upset that this closed three days before I got to New York, had a ticket booked and all. But ah well - very excited for the CD! However, some moments seemed very dull form what I've already heard. DON'T WANNA WAIT TO HEAR IT!
