According to an article on Howard Panter in the Guardian, the Lincoln Center production of South Pacific is definitely on its way to the West End.

Safe enough to presume it'd be going into an ATG house? From what I've seen of it, it wouldn't slot neatly onto just any old stage, so this could be interesting to watch...

Been dieing to say about this for ages!

Yup, ATG are bringing it in, hopefully, for a limited season.

Suprising it probably won't end up in one of their theatres (all booked) and Howard Panter wants a theatre thats in dieing (HINT)need of a new show many people may say!!

South Pacific would do well here but I imagine they will use the tour set. The Olivier would have been perfect for this show but given they only did it eight years ago plus Hytner's reluctance to stage big budget musicals, a commercial transfer was the only option.

Firstly excellent spotted Weez.

If someone said we would of had Fela, Spelling Bee, Sondheim on Sondheim and now South Pacific coming over, I would of fell off my stool, I would of thought In The Heights and Next To Normal would of been dead certs.

I wonder which cast members are likely to come over with it...

Hopefully not Samonsky. I'd love to see Gavin Creel as Cable - a feast for the ears AND eyes South Pacific to the West End?

Perhaps we may get Carmen Cusack back too.
She has been playing Nellie on the US Tour.

A truly fantastic production that totally blew me away to the south pacific last Christmas BUT if it isn't being presented the way it was at the Lincoln Centre what's the point.
It has to be the Olivier or the New London.

Just watched the PBS telecast of the show and WOW what a production.
Finally managed to get that awful touring production with Dave Willetts and Helena Blackman out of my head.

There were rumours floating around that Matthew Morrison was going to do something in the West End. Could this be what they were alluding to? He was superb as Joe Cable at Lincoln Center.

It would be fantastic if Kelli O'Hara came over with it for London audiences to see her incredible performance - the best Nellie I've ever seen.

Hope it does come into The Olivier Theatre, I think The New London is not going to be available for a very long time.

If not do something at The Royal Albert Hall, like what they done with The King and I.
