The Old Vic Appoints Imogen Brodie and Emma Stenning as New Trustees
Brodie joins from Sonia Friedman Productions as Rupert Goold prepares to take over artistic directorship
The Old Vic has announced the appointment of two new members to the Board of Trustees. Joining the existing group, chaired by Simon Warshaw, is Imogen Brodie, currently Head of Creative Development at Sonia Friedman Productions, and Emma Stenning, Chief Executive of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
Imogen Brodie said: ‘I am delighted to join The Old Vic Board at such a dynamic and exciting time of change and development. I have loved every experience I have had at this beautiful theatre both as a collaborator and an audience member and look forward to playing a small part in its brilliant story.'
Emma Stenning said: ‘The Old Vic is a glorious theatre — full of ambition and audacity, whilst remaining deeply rooted in its remarkable heritage. I have long loved watching theatre there and am both proud and excited to be joining the Board at such a thrilling time of transition and opportunity.'
Simon Warshaw, Chair of The Old Vic, said: ‘We are approaching the next chapter in The Old Vic's incredible story. Celebrating Matthew Warchus' legacy and facilitating the transition of artistic directorship to Rupert Goold will be a key focus for the Board over the next 12 months. We are delighted to welcome Imogen and Emma as new trustees who will help strengthen the Board's ability to support the management team at this exciting time.'
