THE MOUSETRAP Will Come to Greenbrier Valley Theatre in October

Greenbrier Valley Theatre will present Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap from Oct. 23 through Nov. 7, 2026 in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

Widely recognized as the world’s longest-running play, The Mousetrap follows a group of strangers stranded in a remote English guesthouse during a snowstorm. After one guest is murdered, the remaining visitors find themselves trapped together as suspicions rise and secrets begin to surface. The production combines suspense, humor and Christie’s signature twist ending in what has become one of the most enduring mystery plays in theatre history.

The production is recommended for audiences ages 13 and up. Performances will take place at Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the State Professional Theatre of West Virginia, located in downtown Lewisburg.

Originally premiering in London’s West End in 1952, The Mousetrap has become a landmark title in the mystery genre and remains one of Agatha Christie’s best-known works. The play continues to attract audiences worldwide with its tightly constructed plot and emphasis on audience secrecy surrounding the ending.

Additional information, including performance schedules and ticket availability, will be announced by Greenbrier Valley Theatre at gvt.org.
