Based on the true story that led to the only U.S. murder conviction based on ghost testimony, The Greenbrier Ghost is a haunting Appalachian musical rooted in West Virginia legend.
When newlywed Zona Heaster dies under suspicious circumstances, her mother claims Zona’s ghost has revealed the truth: she was murdered. Combining folklore, courtroom drama, and regional music, this original work celebrates a mother’s determination and the enduring power of justice from beyond the grave.
