Requiem and Renewal at Music Center at Strathmore

The Washington Chorus partners with the National Philharmonic to present a program featuring the East Coast premiere of Jocelyn Hagen's large-scale symphonic work What the Soul Already Knows alongside Mozart's Requiem. What the Soul Already Knows was jointly commissioned by Pacific Chorale under Robert Istad and The Washington Chorus, and is a meditation on shared humanity, gratitude, unity, and the sacred. The program asks what the soul is, what is sacred, and how we should live before and beyond death.
