About this release
"O hateful hands, to tear such loving words!" -Julia Shakespeare's earliest attempt at romantic comedy, two friends, Valentine and Proteus fall in love with Silvia, who is promised to another. Proteus forgets his old love, Julia and thwarts Valentine's plan to elope with Silvia. Valentine is banished. Silvia follows, with her page, who is Julia in disguise. They all meet in the forest.
