The Waverly Gallery is a provocative comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Academy Award nominee Kenneth Lonergan, directed by SBT founder and artistic director Bill Coons. Gladys, the elderly matriarch of the Green family, has run an art gallery in a small Greenwich Village hotel for years, but her increasingly erratic behavior becomes a cause of concern to her daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, from whose point of view this memory play is told. The cast features Marina Re as Gladys Green, Celeste Ciulla as Ellen Fine, Isaac Hickox-Young as Daniel Reed, Ernest Fleischer as Don Bowman, and Claude Choukrane as Howard Fine. The play previously earned an Obie Award in its New York premiere and a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival of a Play in its Broadway run.
