The 40th Annual Jessie Richardson Awards at Granville Island Stage

“The envelope please!” The Jessie Award are back!

After a brief hiatus, Vancouver’s most prestigious celebration of professional theatre is back. The 40th Annual Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards will take place this fall on Monday, November 3rd. The event will be returning to its roots at the Granville Island Stage where some of the earliest ceremonies were held, marking four decades of honouring outstanding achievements in the local performing arts community. The last ceremony was held in 2022, and this year’s return promises an unforgettable evening.

This year’s ceremony is co-produced by Arturo Del Rio Bello and David C. Jones. The event will reflect on the vibrant 24/25 theatre season with a star-studded lineup of presenters, performers, and rising talent. Attendees can expect a night of heartfelt tributes, joyous celebration, and a few surprises.
