Songs for a New World is an intimate song cycle — the first musical by Tony Award-winner Jason Robert Brown — directed by Gateway Theatre's Executive Artistic Director Barbara Tomasic. Performed at Richmond's historic Minoru Chapel, the production weaves together a series of characters standing on the precipice of change, navigating the unknown with courage, fear, and determination. Featuring singers from across the Lower Mainland, the performance explores themes of risk, resilience, and the choices that shape our lives.
