THE BOGTROTTERS to Headline Time Square Stage at Warrington Music Fest
The free outdoor festival will return to Warrington on June 6 with performances across Time Square and Golden Square.
The Bogtrotters will headline the Time Square stage on Saturday, June 6, alongside a lineup of regional acts and emerging performers. The long-running Warrington group is known for blending traditional Irish and Scottish music with country and contemporary influences. The band is led by Tim Flaherty, who also found success in the United States with the group Poacher.
“I've been lucky enough to tour all over the world with both The Bogtrotters and Poacher over the years, but there's always something special about coming back home to Warrington. Playing in front of your own community gives you a different kind of buzz that never goes away, no matter how many years you've been doing it. There's a real pride in coming back to Warrington and seeing live music continue to thrive across generations. The free, open-air town centre festival will also be taking place at Golden Square giving music lovers the chance to make a day of it.”
The free open-air festival will take place across Time Square and Golden Square in Warrington, with live performances scheduled from midday through 8 p.m.
Time Square Stage Lineup
Joining The Bogtrotters on the Time Square stage will be The Escape Committee, featuring former Poacher member Pete Bucaria, alongside Red Light Racers, Junior Dayvis, Charlene Semp, Evie Caine, Marti Wilde, The Lower Angel Band, and Synthian.
Golden Square’s stage will continue its focus on emerging grassroots performers, while the Time Square stage is intended to showcase a broader mix of artists and musical styles.
Festival founder Steve Oates, who launched Warrington Music Festival in 2007 to support local talent, said the programming reflects the event’s ongoing mission to celebrate both new and established musicians.
“The Time Square Stage perfectly captures what Warrington Music Festival is about – creating opportunities for emerging artists while also celebrating the musicians and heritage acts who have helped shape our local music scene over the years. There's a real mix of generations, styles and stories coming together in one space.”
