Bobby Cronin's DAYBREAK to Open in Both London and NJ in June 2012

By:

More people die by suicide at the Golden Gate Bridge than at any other site in the world. What would cause someone to contemplate jumping from its span or stopping someone from doing so? DAYBREAK is a non-traditional, coming-of-age musical journey, centered on the dark places people go when they feel lost, scared, broken, or alone. Follow two couples as we explore the mysteries that bind them, their relationships, family ties, expectations, dreams, patience and courage.

The award-winning musical DAYBREAK will open at the Tristan Bates Theatre in London's Covent Gardens 5th June, running through June 30th, directed by Hayley Cusick, produced by the award-winning Notion Theatre Company.

DAYBREAK will also open in Wayne, NJ at the William Patterson University campus on June 7th, running through June 24, as the winner of the 2011 NJ Playwrights Contest. Edward Matthews, dir.; Warren Helms & Charles Santoro, music dir.

Bobby Cronin is a composer/lyricist whose pop/rock musical with co-book writer Alicia Dempster called WELCOME TO MY LIFE (W2ML) is currently under a Broadway option. Other projects: 'TIL DEATH DO US PART (book by Allen Mogol); Kelly Nichols' TEN REASONS I WON'T GO HOME WITH YOU (winner, Outstanding Music & Lyrics at MITF, 2010); and THANK YOU, NEXT web-series for which Bobby was awarded "Best Original Web Score, Mockumentary Division".

Bobby is the first American writer to pen an original piece (THE CONCRETE JUNGLE) for the esteemed London ArtsEd School, which will also open in June 2012. Bobby's performed concerts around the globe: he headlined the March 2009 Lincoln Center Songbook Series, made his Los Angeles debut in May 2010 at Show at Barre, and made his London debut in February 2011 with a sold out concert at The Players Theatre.
