De volledige cast is aangekondigd voor de eerste niet-replica productie in het VK van Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, die op 22 augustus 2026 in Lowry, Salford, opent en loopt tot 19 september 2026, voordat het naar Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in Londen verhuist van 12 oktober 2026 tot 3 januari 2027, met de persavond op 20 oktober 2026.
Jason Donovan* zal de rol van Coach Bolton spelen in Lowry, terwijl Harry Judd de rol in Londen op zich neemt. In beide locaties zullen Disney-icoon Kaycee Stroh als Ms. Darbus, Tobias Turley als Troy Bolton, Leonor Correia als Gabriella Montez, Caitlin Tipping als Sharpay Evans en Luke Bayer als Ryan Evans te zien zijn.

Ter viering van de 20e verjaardag van de iconische film heeft HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL een boek van David Simpatico met muziek die is aangepast, gearrangeerd en geproduceerd door Bryan Louiselle en wordt co-gepresideerd door de oprichters van Hope Mill Joseph Houston en William Whelton. Met klassieke nummers zoals: Breaking Free, We're All In This Together, Get'cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo en nog veel meer.
Gebaseerd op de hit Disney Channel Original film, die een generatie inspireerde, had HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL zijn wereldpremière productie in Stagedoor Manor Summer Theatre Camp in 2006. Het ging daarna naar The Theatre of Stars in Atlanta, Georgia voor zijn eerste professionele staging, voordat Disney Theatrical Group een nationale tour in 2007 organiseerde. De musical heeft aanzienlijke successen genoten in regionale theaters over de hele wereld en had zijn Londenpremière in het Hammersmith Apollo Theatre in januari 2008.
