The Green Line, an award-winning Canadian play by Makram Ayache, opens the 47th season at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. This Toronto premiere features an entirely Arab cast, including Waseem Alzer, Oshen Aoun, Basma Baydoun, and Zaynna Khalife. Set against the backdrop of civil war Beirut and a contemporary nightclub, the play intertwines two love stories from different eras, exploring intergenerational queer history in Lebanon. The production is a bilingual experience in English and Arabic, underscoring the importance of Arab voices in today's narrative landscape.
