Opera Atelier has announced the much anticipated finale of its 2022/23 season Handel's The Resurrection, on stage April 6 and 8 at 7:30pm and April 9 at 2:30pm at Koerner Hall, TELUS Centre for Performance and Learning.
What better way to salute Tafelmusik's 45th anniversary than by celebrating The Sound of Beauty? The theme headlines an extraordinary 23/24 season curated by Tafelmusik's Artistic Co-Directors —violist Brandon Chui, bassoonist Dominic Teresi, and violinist Cristina Zacharias, together with Tafelmusik Chamber Choir Director, Ivars Taurins.
Tafelmusik launches its 2022/23 season of live concerts with Handel’s London, a program inspired by the lively metropolis where musical influences intersect. Guest directed by Grammy Award-winning harpsichordist Avi Stein, Handel’s London takes place on Sept 23, 2022 at 8pm and Sept 24, 2022 at 2pm at Jeanne Lamon Hall, Trinity-St.

Opera Atelier announces the much anticipated finale of its 2019/20 Season with Handel's The Resurrection, on stage from April 11a?"19, 2020 at Koerner Hall, TELUS Centre. The Resurrection marks the Canadian premiere of Handel's first acknowledged masterpiece in a fully staged production. Opera Atelier's lavish production will feature an innovative, multi-level set by Gerard Gauci, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra (Elisa Citterio, Music Director) under the baton of David Fallis, and choreography by Founding Co-Artistic Director Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg C.M. performed by Artists of Atelier Ballet. The all-star Canadian cast includes Soprano Carla Huhtanen, Soprano Meghan Lindsay, Mezzo Soprano Allyson McHardy, Tenor Isaiah Bell, and Bass Stephen Hegedus.
Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra will launch the new decade with a series of Canadian and international concert broadcasts on CBC Music and Stingray Classica. On Sunday, January 12 at 11:05 AM, Tafelmusik's Love & Betrayal program, directed by Elisa Citterio and featuring guest soprano Karina Gauvin, will be broadcast on CBC Music's 'In Concert' hosted by Paolo Pietropaolo. Recorded live on November 24, 2019 at Milton Court Concert Hall in London's Barbican Centre, this concert drew rave reviews from English critics.
