Toronto Film School’s latest stage production, Flock, explores the ways we choose the stories that define us – both to ourselves and to the wider world.
Directed by Jonathan Higgins, the 75-minute play is the latest from award-winning playwright John Kolvenbach, whose plays include the Olivier-nominated West End productions of Lovesong starring Cillian Murphy and On An Average Day with Woody Harrelson and Kyle MacLachlan.
“In a recent interview, discussing his work, (Kolvenbach) explained, ‘I’m interested in how people select stories to explain themselves – explain themselves to themselves or to others,’” Higgins said. “In its array of engaging stories across a range of human experience, Flock takes on this theme – the stories we choose/ the stories we tell.”
Flock, which is stage managed by Hanno Peyper, will take to the stage at the Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media & Education for a three-performance run from March 19-21 as follows:
