Broadway Records (www.BroadwayRecords.com) has just released the original cast recording of the Broadway musical, LYSISTRATA JONES, featuring music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn and book by Tony Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane.

Last night, April 9, the company of LYSISTRATA JONES - including Jason Tam, Josh Segarra, Libby Servais, Liz Mikel, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, LaQuet Shamell and more - reunited at Joe's Pub for a special concert to celebrate their newly-released cast album (Broadway Records). Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday has recorded a single version of "Hold On" from the acclaimed musical Lysistrata Jones. It will be included as a bonus track on show's upcoming cast album. As previously announced, Broadway Records (BroadwayRecords.com) will release the original cast recording featuring music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn on Tuesday May 15th. Advance sales are currently available at Amazon.com (http://astore.amazon.com/lyssiejones-20/detail/B007P3QXN8) and the cast will perform a reunion concert at Joe's Pub on Monday, April 9th at 7:00 and 9:30pm.

LYSISTRATA JONES may have given its final performance in January, but a cast album is on its way! The show's official Twitter page revealed that the cast is currently in the recording studio.

According to the official LYSISTRATA JONES blog, Douglas Carter Beane and Lewis Flinn are currently at work on a high school-friendly edition of the Broadway comedy, which will be made available for licensing soon.

LYSISTRATA JONES closed its doors on last week, but its leading lady was again on a basketball court the very next day - performing the national anthem for the NY Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Check it out below!

After a year and a half hiatus, Seth Rudetsky's famed Seth's Broadway Chatterbox returned to Don't Tell Mama on Thursday, January 5, with Douglas Carter Beane and the cast of LYSISTRATA JONES. Seth's Broadway Chatterbox includes interviews and performances by noted Broadway celebrities and is a raw, funny and insightful interview program that really has no equal. Chatterbox will run regularly at Don't Tell Mama on Thursday nights at 6pm.
