WORLD PREMIERE!
The Common Ground, a new play by Maddie Holdway and Adam Lucas, will make its world premiere at The International Tampa Fringe Festival this June.
The Common Ground tells the story of Blair– a young woman who works in her family's suburban coffee shop who must figure out how to move forward towards a sustainable and fulfilling future after being hit with an earth-shattering loss.
Kennedy Lollar stars as Blair alongside Timothy Penberthy as Jamie. Additional casting includes: Amy Miller as Rachel, Josh Ogline as Artie, Ariel Proctor as Adielle, and Griffin Kelleher.
The Common Ground is written by Maddie Holdway, with New Jersey resident Adam Lucas as co-author/lead producer. Holdway and Lucas both serve on the board at Fed’s Backyard Theater in Bradenton and recently won the Broadway World Sarasota Award for favorite local theater (Fed’s Backyard Theater) and best musical (Heathers) in 2024. Holdway developed the concept for The Common Ground at age 14 in May 2023, with Lucas joining the team shortly after. The production is directed by Blake Walton.
The Common Ground opens at The Fringe Theater on June 20, 2025, and will run through June 22, 2025.
