Tony Winner Kristin Chenoweth Coming to Van Wezel in 2016

Broadway Royalty, Kristin Chenoweth, the Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress who is enjoying a spectacular career that effortlessly spans film, television, voiceover and stage, will appear at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on February 27. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 5.

Ms. Chenoweth who is co-host of this year's Tony Awards with Alan Cummings this Sunday, June 7 at 8pm, is also nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical. Chenoweth, currently playing the glamorous film star, Lily Garland, in the Roundabout Theatre Company's On the Twentieth Century, just received a 2015 Drama Desk Award and an Outer Critics Circle Award, both for Outstanding Actress in a Musical. She has also been nominated for the Distinguished Performance Award by the Drama League.

In her live show, the acclaimed star brings iconic songs from her best-known shows like Wicked, Glee and On the Twentieth Century - as well as popular standards and classics from Broadway, Hollywood and beyond!

Chenoweth received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the ABC series Pushing Daisies. She also lit up the stage of McKinley High as a former student who returned to town with more than the baggage from her flight, on Fox's hit comedy, Glee. In her role as Glee's quirky ex-songstress, April Rhodes, Kristin was nominated for two Emmy Awards and a People's Choice Award in the category of Favorite TV Guest Star.

She may be most remembered by Broadway lovers everywhere for her origination of the role of Glinda the Good Witch in Wicked, which earned her a Tony Award Nomination. Kristin also won the Tony for Best Featured Actress in A Musical for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown where she stole the show and many hearts in the process. She will be receiving a coveted star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Live Performances on Stage or in Theatre.
