During the holiday season, the Studio@620 is bringing a special gift, free of charge, to Tampa Bay audiences. The Studio@620 and the Palladium at St. Petersburg College will produce ShaRon Scott in the epic musical, Langston Hughes†BLACK NATIVITY: A GOSPEL SONG-PLAY, at the Palladium at St. Petersburg College, Nov. 25 thru 27.

BLACK NATIVITY is the joyous account of the seminal event that occurred over 2,000 years ago on one silent night in Bethlehem. Itâ€TMs a celebration that tells the original story of the Nativity in scripture, verse, music and dance. Combining the Gospel of St. Luke with the poetry of Langston Hughes, this song-play touches a special chord in the hearts of all during the holidays.

This yearâ€TMs production will again star renowned actor ShaRon Scott along with a blissful company of singers, actors, dancers and musicians delivering a powerful message of hope thatâ€TMs perfect for the entire family.

"BLACK NATIVITY is a song-play with great energy and spirit," said Bob Devin Jones, the productionâ€TMs director. "€œMusic for the show is anchored by joyous and uplifting versions of gospel favorites that celebrate the Christmas story. BLACK NATIVITY is the Studio@620â€TMs holiday card to the Tampa Bay area."

Performances are Friday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Palladium Theater Box Office, which is open from noon until 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, or at the Studio@620, which is located at 620 1st Ave. South in St. Petersburg and open from noon until 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
