A new radio show, "Theatre Chat and This 'n That," is being produced and hosted by longtime Tampa Bay and Nature Coast actor, director and producer, Jimmy Ferraro and his friend and colleague, Hillsborough-Pinellas entertainer, radio host and picture-book author, Brenda Darnley Martin.

Ferraro and Martin will be sharing up-to-date info and insights on theatre, dance, music, arts, comedy, etc., and lots of "this and that" as well, which is open to interpretation as interesting guests and issues arise. Topics will naturally emphasize productions in the Tampa Bay, Nature Coast and Sumter County areas, but will occasionally venture to other markets as well, to feature exhibits and productions that will be of benefit either intellectually, emotionally or spiritually to the audiences. Each show will feature engaging conversation between the hosts and at least one guest and oftentimes more. The first show will feature Ferraro's wife of 25 years, Broadway veteran actress Dee Etta Rowe, who is about to open in another eight week run of "Menopause the Musical" in Indianapolis.

Ferraro and Martin first discussed producing this show back in 2009, when Ferraro was a guest on another radio program about the arts Martin was hosting in Clearwater. Between their busy schedules and with Ferraro on the road a great deal of the time, it took four years for the opportunity to present itself. In July 2012 Ferraro and his wife, Dee Etta, were presented with the opportunity to star opposite each other in the national touring company production of "Fiddler on the Roof." This was the dream of a lifetime and they jumped at it readily. All was going well until, in early December, Ferraro tore the meniscus in his right knee during a costume change. Martin, who was in between projects and dealing with her own knee issues, jumped (okay, stood up) at the opportunity to finally make their radio show a reality.
