By:

Florida Studio Theatre hosts a special Pay What You Can Night of the Mainstage hit, Butler by Richard Strand. The performance will be held on February 27 at 8pm in the Keating Theatre. All that is required when purchasing a single ticket is your name and contact information, as well as the amount you wish to pay with a check, credit card, or cash. Tickets may be purchased by visiting the Box Office or by calling (941) 366-9000. Group Tickets may be purchased by contacting Phyllis Silverman by phone at (941) 366-9017 ext. 314 or by email at psilverman@floridastudiotheatre.org. Please include the names and contact information of all those attending and the payment method to be used. There is no payment minimum for tickets. Seating will be assigned on a first come first served basis.

This special performance brings theatre to a diverse audience, keeping alive FST's mission of creating theatre that is as affordable and accessible to as many people as possible. Any audience member can pay the price they are comfortable with for their ticket. There are no set prices or 'rules' about how much to give for a ticket. This allows for people to have the opportunity to see the show who may not otherwise be able to attend.

Associate Director Kate Alexander speaks to the excitement of this unique evening stating, "We are thrilled to present Pay What You Can Night. Now in our third year, the evening offers FST the opportunity to reach deeply into the heart of our community and serve more people, making theatre more accessible for all."

The evening is sponsored by Sy & Shelley Goldblatt and will feature Pre and Post-show speeches by Steering Committee members: Mayor Willie Charles Shaw, and President of Sarasota County NAACP, Trevor Harvey.
