Comedian Brian Regan Coming to Van Wezel, 4/23

Turning even the most mundane situations into side-splitting stand-up material, comedian Brian Regan makes his Sarasota debut at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on Saturday, April 23rd at 8:00pm. A true workhorse who has spent 25 years touring and fine-tuning his act, Regan has become an enormous success for being a stand-up comic without ever branching off into movies or sitcoms. To this day, the Miami native visits around 100 cities a year, selling out some of the most beautiful venues on the continent.

After releasing two highly popular hour-long Comedy Central specials - 2008's The Epitome of Hyperbole and 2007's Standing Up - Regan set a standard of comedic excellence that others continually try to emulate. He primarily works clean, making his performances accessible to all audiences. Focusing on observational comedy, his routine often includes comments on shared experiences and questions about behavior and language. Regan's high-energy delivery and tendency to push a joke to its breaking point is sure to have you bursting with laughter!
