The Asolo Repertory Theatre Guild will host its annual Fall Luncheon on Wednesday, October 26 at noon at the Bird Key Yacht Club. This year's luncheon guest speaker will be Broadway producer and past Asolo Rep Board President Bob Bartner.

The Asolo Rep Theatre Guild is a diverse group of people united by their passion for theatre, a commitment to its future in the community and a desire to support educational programs in local schools. Asolo Rep Theatre Guild raises funds for Education & Outreach programs that develop present and future audiences.

Bob Bartner and his wife, Beverly, are producers of plays on and off Broadway and in London. They settled in Sarasota six years ago, although they travel extensively to stay in touch with the world of theatre. Mr. Bartner works on an instinctual level, selecting which productions to underwrite by gut reaction. His first foray into the world of the theater producer took place in 1995, and in the past decade Bob has launched dozens of plays onto the Broadway stage; the most notable in recent times is The Book of Mormon, which has been a tremendous success. Bob has recently stepped down from presiding over Asolo Repertory Theatre's Board of Directors, where he brought a commitment to branding the theatre nationally and internationally, raising Asolo Rep's visibility. Bob and Beverly are both very active Asolo Rep Board members.

Luncheon tickets are $35 for Guild members and $45 for guests. Reservations are required and seating is limited. Please send a check payable to Asolo Theatre Guild to Patricia Anderson 6580 41st Ct. East Sarasota, Florida 34243. Reservations must include meal selection (chicken or vegetarian) and the name(s) of any guests. Contact Guild President Patricia Anderson at patordickanderson@gmail.com for any questions regarding the event.
