Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS Opens This Weekend at Carrollwood Players Theatre
In 1947, Joe Keller's world is a comfortable place. He has a good business, a loving family, and the apparent respect of his neighbors. Even the charges leveled against him during the war for allegedly shipping out defective plane parts that caused the death of a score of American pilots are in the past, as he has been officially exonerated. Things are not perfect, as his older son, Larry, was reported missing during the war, and Joe's wife, Kate, continues to await Larry's return. Further, the couple's younger son, Chris, an Army veteran, is having some trouble adjusting to peacetime. All in all, though, things are going pretty well for Joe.
Then, one summer Saturday, the daughter of Joe's former business partner and neighbor, Steve, who was convicted of the same charges Joe beat and remains in prison, arrives at Chris' behest. Then, to complicate matters, Steve's son comes to the house after visiting his father. As the tension rises, Joe, his family and the audience have to face some very real questions about the nature of truth, greed, war, and responsibility.
CWP's production of Arthur Miller's All My Sons opens this weekend, April 21, and runs through May 6, being performed at 8:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, and 3:00 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are available now for this powerful dramatic experience.
And, once again, our friends at Wow That's Fast of Carrollwood are sponsoring an opening night pizza party after opening night this Friday, April 21. Your ticket allows you to stay after the show and have some pizza and talk with the cast and crew.
