A Czar is Born at Eternity Playhouse

In this anarchic one-hour comedy about capitalism (and literature) run amok, a publishing magnate attempts to one-up his rival by putting on a book tour for a new bestseller – from the acclaimed and mysterious FRANCOIS DUCHAMP — despite Duchamp’s refusal to participate.

Chaos ensues with songs, ambassadors, identity theft and litigation in a musical comedy worthy of Mel Brooks. Written and directed by Laurence Rosier Staines (Griffin Award finalist 2023), A CZAR IS BORN first premiered in 2010 and is back by both popular demand and financial necessity.
