For UNC Asheville’s Drama Department, the stage is our lab. Through the department’s mainstage productions, TheatreUNCA, independent productions, and professional internship opportunities, drama majors test the theories and practices they study in the classroom in theatrical presentations for the public. We embrace experimentation and collaboration to produce creative and knowledgeable theatre artists who understand their responsibilities to their community, their art, and their own personal growth.

Acceptance Rate:

The University of North Carolina at Asheville (UNCA) has a general acceptance rate of 94%, and the Drama program is no longer accepting new majors, with the university working on teach-out programs for previously declared majors.
