Texas State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance offers a diverse range of degrees allowing our students to find a program suited to their skills and interests. Our B.F.A. programs are led by acclaimed professionals including Kaitlin Hopkins (Head of Musical Theatre), Michael Costello (Head of Acting) and Michelle Ney (Head of Design & Technology). With a $1000 scholarship, out-of-state students qualify for in-state tuition (approximately $4000/semester). We are proud of the accomplishments of our faculty, students, and alumni. Our web pages contain information about our degree programs, opportunities for performance, guest artists, special events and production photos. Michigan Shakespeare Festival to Return in 2026 With Previously Announced Season

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival has announced it will return in 2026 with its previously planned 2025 season, including Richard III, Much Ado About Nothing, and a world premiere adaptation of The Beaux’ Stratagem.
