Within the liberal arts tradition of Illinois Wesleyan University, the School of Theatre Arts strives to create an environment conducive to the development of theatre artists, scholars and audiences. Theatre Arts majors are urged to strengthen their understanding of the complex world they live in while they develop and sharpen their skills as theatre artists and scholars. Close interaction with fellow students, faculty and guest artists helps to foster this development. Our specialized degree programs are designed for students aspiring professional careers in theatre.
