Spitfire Grill at Illinois Wesleyan University

This heartfelt musical tells the story of newly released parolee, Percy, who is ready to leave her past behind and look towards a future in the small town of Gilead, Wisconsin, a town where everyone knows your business. Upon her arrival she gets a job working at the titular Spitfire Grill for gruff Hannah who has been looking to unload the grill due to hurtful memories. Percy soon becomes instrumental in changing the lives of the people in Gilead and with the help of timid Shelby, devises a plan to raffle the grill off with an essay contest. This sincere and optimistic musical has rich and complex characters and "some of the most engaging and instantly infectious melodies," says USA Today.
