Through specialized curricula and extensive general education offerings, the Bower School of Music seeks to prepare professionals for service in music performance and pedagogy and in related fields. The Bower School of Music offers three Music degree programs: Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Arts in Music (Performance) and Bachelor of Music Therapy.
In the fall of 2010, the Bower School of Music moved into a new 23,000-square-foot, two-story signature facility overlooking a scenic lake and wetlands in a developing arts corridor on the main campus of the University. Already a destination site for the greater community, the building houses an attractive grand lobby; a 3,260-square-foot, 210-seat Recital Hall with superb acoustics and sightlines; a large rehearsal hall; faculty studios; practice rooms; classrooms; technology and keyboard laboratories; and a music ensemble library.
