Vanessa Cobb - Vanessa Cobb is the director of instrumental music at Rossview Middle School. Previously, Mrs. Cobb was the 6th grade band director for White House Heritage Elementary, K-2 General Music teacher at Robert F. Woodall Primary School, and the assistant director for White House Heritage Elementary School. Cobb completed a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting and a Master of Music in Education at APSU in 2013 where she was named an Outstanding Graduate Assistant. While a masters student at APSU, Cobb was the graduate assistant for the athletic bands. She helped with rehearsals and wrote marching band drill. She also helped to organize and efficiently run the GOMB. Prior to her position at RMS, Cobb was the Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at APSU. She was also the band director at NWHS in Clarksville, TN. She is a member of NAfME, MTSBOA, and TBA.

Today, we continue to celebrate the return of Collegiate Theatrics featuring one of our favorites from the theatre department at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville: Alex Vanburen, a native of Johnson City, Tennessee, who graduated from APSU last May.
The production of The Color Purple, now onstage at the Roxy, is without doubt the most emphatically, beautifully and electrifyingly sung musical I’ve seen at the historic theatre on the corner of First and Franklin in downtown Clarksville over the past three decades.
