Bachelor of Arts in Theatre


Dedicated to educating the complete theatre artist and nourishing the human spirit, the Theatre major emphasizes collaboration, experimentation and opportunity. With courses in acting, directing, design and technical production, the major is an education cross-section of theatre culminating in the capstone project. The program balances project-based coursework and classical techniques with numerous opportunities for invaluable production experience in performance, directing, design and technical production. The major offers opportunities to express, explore and celebrate our differences to not merely talk about engaging our community but requires social accountability to fulfill our mission. The program follows a project-based curriculum rooted in collaboration, opportunity and commitment to excellence. The focus of the program is not to just simply train the craftsman but develop the individual as an artist, community member and active contributor.
