To Kill a Mockingbird is a play by Aaron Sorkin, adapted from Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, set in the 1930s in Alabama. The story follows lawyer Atticus Finch as he defends a Black man, Tom Robinson, falsely accused of rape, exploring themes of racial injustice, prejudice, compassion, and childhood innocence through the eyes of his children, Scout and Jem. The play focuses on the trial and its impact on the community, teaching lessons of integrity and the courage to stand for what is right.
