South Bend Civic Theatre will re-ignite the Firehouse Theatre in a whole new venture! From their original home, comes a series of 12 experimental performance concepts that include: cabaret/concerts, improvisation, staged readings, an open mic night, poetry jam and much more. Beginning August 2013, and continuing once a month, the audience can visit the Firehouse for an intimate, affordable new way for our community to enjoy a different kind of different theatrical presentation.

First Up: Justin Williams takes "Flight" - Friday, August 9th at 7:30pm (followed by a reception at the Firehouse) and Saturday, August 10th at 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Actor/singer Justin Williams started his love of performance in school and continued, with many a lead, to develop into one of our towns leading actors. Justin played leads in such shows as LES MISERABLES, Little Women, Peter Pan, Pippin, Little Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, Auntie Mame, Frankenstein, The Wedding Singer, Annie and Meet Me in St. Louis. Justin Williams' Chicago debut was at Stage 773 as part of the evening "Shellen Lubin and Friends", 2011. Justin's Cabaret/Concert debut was at the Palais Royale at the Morris Performing Arts Center in South Bend, Indiana. He also appeared in "The Andrew Brent and Jimmy Glenn Songbook" with Cheryl Szcucsits in 2012.

Roy Bronkema, musical director, has been performing for SBCT audiences for the last four years. Amongst his favorite roles: Carr Gomm in The Elephant Man, Thomas Rogers (the Butler) in And Then There Were None, and Latislav Sipos in the Christmas production of She Loves Me. He. Roy is an accomplished classical pianist and composer. Roy would like to thank his wife for her support.

Program director: Ralph Lampkin, Jr. is the owner of Lampkin Music Group, a Concert/Cabaret/Record Production/Promotions firm, his career spans thirty years throughout NY, Chicago, LA, Minneapolis and South Bend. Ralph has produced at such venues as Feinstein's at the Regency, Metropolitan Room and Hall/Carnegie Hall in New York, Apollo Theater, North Shore Performing Arts Center , Mercury Theater, Center on Halsted, and Steppenwolf Theaters in Chicago, Off Broadway at the Producer's Club in New York and the Avery Schreiber Theater and Gardenia Nightclub in LA. Ralph has worked with the South Bend Civic Theater since '89. Ralph was involved in Stage Management, Directing, Banquet Director with his dear friend Pat Berardi, Long Range Planning Committee, Light Design, Board Member, Vice President, etc, With time away to grow his business he is glad to return and share the knowledge with everyone at the Best Theater in the area, his opinion.

Technical director: Phil Patnaude has been involved in theater most of adult life. Starting with a BA Degree from Indiana University in Communication and Theater, to Resident Scenic Designer for South Bend Civic, Technical Director for South Bend School Corporation's Firefly Festival and Notre Dame Opera , Guest Artist for Saint Mary' College. Love of theater along with expertise in video and photography gives Phil the opportunity to use these gifts for this show. He enjoys new theatrical experiences and challenges.

SBCT's Firehouse Theatre is located at 701 Portage Avenue in South Bend.
