South Bend Civic Theatre Stages PERFECT MENDACITY, Now thru 11/17
Perfect Mendacity, by Jason Wells, is a story pulsing with today's issues; a scientist suspected of leaking a top secret government memo faces a daunting choice: lie to save his career, or tell the truth and risk losing his family. Delving into the past and uncovering shocking truths creates a downward spiral leading to explosive revelations.
With stories of leaks flooding the news recently (Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden, Wiki-Leaks), Perfect Mendacity explores how the act of releasing a dangerous secret has personal repercussions. This contemporary play gives an audience a chance to explore what truth is and how past misdeeds never stay buried.
Director Jim Geisel leads Ted Manier, Tia Patrick, Tom Peterson, David Smith, and Judy Spigle through this tale of deceit.
Post-show talkbacks will be held Friday November 8 and Saturday November 9. Note: Adult Language.
Perfect Mendacity performs tonight, November 8-17 in the Warner Studio Theatre. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM ($18), Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 PM ($15) and Sundays at 3:00 PM ($18.).
