As part of South Bend Civic Theatre's Firehouse Cabaret, a concert of music by the famed composers John Kander and Fred Ebb will be presented this weekend, May 16-17.

"Kander and Ebb: The Tribute Concert," or "Come to the Cabaret," is a combination of songs from the Kander and Ebb songbook that will take the audience member on a journey through their earliest writings: such as "My Coloring Book" a pop standard in the late 1950's, to well-known songs such as "But The World Goes Round" from the film New York, New York and "Don't Tell Mama" from Cabaret. There will be a medley of familiar songs mixed with other selections: "Coffee in a Cardboard Cup" from 70 Girls 70, "Let's Hear it for Me" from the film Funny Lady and "A Quiet Thing" from Flora The Red Menace.

The cast is Mary Beth Saunders, Jillian Tully, Alison Jones and Alysa Atkinson. Production staff includes: Musical Director Rebecca Wilson, Stage Manager Steve Chung, Technical Director Phil Patnaude, Technical Assistant Seyhan Kilic, Acting Coach Mary Beth Saunders and Conceived and Staged by Ralph Lampkin, Jr.

Two Shows Only: Friday May 16th and Saturday May 17th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at scbt.org or call the Civic Theater at 574-234-1112. Seating is limited, so RSVP now!
