Neil deGrasse Tyson to 'Go to the Movies' at Morris PAC; Tickets on Sale Next Month

Join Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson for an evening of "An Astrophysicist Goes to the Movies" at the Morris Performing Arts Center, South Bend, on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.

From "Star Wars" to "Frozen" to "The Martian", an entertaining and enlightening review of all the science that our favorite movies got wrong, combined with some of the stuff they got right. Incorporates the latest films as well as some classics that you may not have known had any science in them at all.

Tickets are $55.50, $75.50, $85.50 and $256.00 (which includes the VIP Meet & Greet) and are ON SALE Friday, December 2, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will go on sale at the Morris Box Office, by phone at 574-235-9190 or 800-537-6415, or online at www.MorrisCenter.org. The Morris Box Office is open regular business hours Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and is located at 211 North Michigan Street, South Bend, Indiana. Tickets can also be purchased with credit card at Morris Ticket Outlet: Hammes Bookstore & Café located at Eddy Street Commons, South Bend, IN.

Dr. Tyson is an award-winning astrophysicist, host of Star Talk Radio and TV Show, Nova Science Now on PBS, and FOX's Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, the 21st century continuation of Carl Sagan's landmark TV Series. He is a New York Times best-selling author of 10 books and frequent guest on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. He is the recipient of 19 honorary doctorates and the NASA Distinguished Public Service Medal, the highest award given by NASA to non-government citizens. The U.S. National Academy of Sciences awarded Tyson the Public Welfare Medal in 2015 for his "extraordinary role in exciting the public about the wonders of science." His massive appeal as a teacher and intellectual leads to sold-out lectures around the world and inspires young and old to take an interest in the universe around them.
