Actors From The London Stage Perform ROMEO AND JULIET This February

By: Jan. 17, 2017

Actors From The London Stage (AFTLS), a world-renowned Shakespeare touring company, will perform Romeo and Juliet at Notre Dame's Washington Hall on February 1, 2, and 3 at 7:30pm.

With minimal sets and costumes, five master storytellers transform a bare stage into fair Verona. British actors, from London's most prestigious stages, perform every role in Shakespeare's star-crossed tragedy. Experience the power and passion of the world's greatest love story live on stage.

Founded in 1975 by members of the Royal Shakespeare Company including Sir Patrick Stewart, AFTLS is committed to clear and creative storytelling. Each actor takes on two or three major roles and several minor ones, and all five work together to guide the story, for there is no director. This proven formula reignites Shakespeare's timeless stories with tour-de-force performances that bring you straight into the passion and poetry of the world's greatest playwright.

Tickets: Regular $25 | Student $12 (Under-18 free w/ regular ticket purchase, limit five). Call 574.631.2800 or visit shakespeare.nd.edu/tickets.

Shakespeare at Notre Dame (S@ND) is proud to be the American home for Actors From The London Stage. S@ND also includes the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, the McMeel Family Chair in Shakespeare Studies, as well as numerous academic and social justice initiatives. The mission of Shakespeare at Notre Dame is to establish the University nationally and internationally as a center for the study of Shakespeare in performance.
