There's no business like hair business! Performer and playwright Rudy Bessit aims to do away with negative stereotypes associated with coloured people in his solo show, A HAIR THINGY. Hair has always been a bone of contention in the coloured community, and the play is aptly set in a hair salon, a space that is usually home to the juiciest gossip, allowing Bessit to explore the dynamics of the coloured community through his portrayal of several characters. Whether you have "kroes", curly or straight hair, A HAIR THINGY promises to deliver an in-depth, unique look at coloured communities by telling their stories in a relatable way.
