Dance for All Presents CONCERTO LA DANZA

Dance for All (DFA) is gearing up to present Concerto la Danza, a plot capturing the collaboration of dance with live music, directed by Allison Hendricks and performed by some of Cape Town's finest young musicians, from the Cape Music Institute (CMI) with musical direction by Camillo Lombard to be held at Artscape Theatre on 18 August 2018 at 14:15 and 20:00.

With live music presenting very little artifice, the audience becomes one with these two capturing art forms.

The production will display, how these two captivating art forms collaborates through bringing together two institutions, both of whom the primary focus is on creating platforms and opportunities for youngsters, in a joint venture through a plot that taps into the lives of three characters, that which they hide behind, the masks which they show the world and a life which they once had, or long for.

Concerto la Danza aims to offer a wonderful evening celebrating the work of both DFA and the Cape Music Institute with students ranging from 11 - 23 years.

A guest performance by the Taare Dance Company with choreography by company director Ahneesh Valodia & choreographer Maxwell Rani adds some of the vibrance to the production

Dance for All in its 27th year is happy to join CMI, illustrating the ongoing growth and development of these institutions.
