A teaser poster for BEAUTIFUL WRECKAGE

BEAUTIFUL WRECKAGE, a musical created and performed by Grant Jacobs and Liam Mcdermott, will play an eight-performance season at the Alexander Bar this February.

Described as a trailblazing pop rock musical, BEAUTIFUL WRECKAGE introduces the straight-laced "good boy" Chase, and his bestie, Damon, a cartoonist, righteous blogger and hippy at heart. These two young men of the moment hit first year varsity hard. Wild and wonderful nights on the town are the name of their game. The create some crazy youthful memories, some unforgettable, others highly regrettable and a few that change their lives.

Jacobs and Mcdermott have collaborated with music producer, Jonathan Simons, and visual artist, Mark Edwards, to combine multi-media and musical theatre into a story that aims to engross audiences in the lives of these two charmingly likable characters who have to start facing "the real world".

BEAUTIFUL WRECKAGE runs at the Alexander Upstairs from 16 - 26 February. Tickets range in price from R70 - R90 and can be booked online at the Alexander Bar's website or at the bar, which is situated at 76 Strand Street in Cape Town's city centre, anytime during its regular opening hours. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Keep up to date with events at Alexander Bar on Facebook and Twitter.
