Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, presents the Midwest premiere of I Wanna F#!&ing Tear You Apart by Morgan Gould and directed by Jessica Fisch. I Wanna F#!&ing Tear You Apart runs February 15 - March 23, 2019 at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 7:00pm.

Wanna show off your knowledge? Broadway Trivia League, the brain child of Ellyn Marie Marsh and Brett Thiele, is open to everyone- performers, crew, orchestra, people who have just seen a show or even just night owls who like trivia after 10pm!  

This show draws us in to the women's lives, but does not buttonhole itself into being a women's issues play. It would be easy to default to a caricature of southern women being southern, but this production doesn't do that, to its credit.

FRANK is one of the quirkiest I have seen in quite some time, centering on Jon (Domhnall Gleeson), a young wanna-be musician and songwriter who tries his best to find inspiration for his songs in the ordinary moment-to-moment happenings in his humdrum life. Then one day as he is sitting on his regular bench eating his regular sandwich from the local deli, he notices a man being pulled from the ocean and his life changes forever.

Ted Sperling (Striking 12, See What I Wanna See) will direct with musical staging by Andrew Palermo. Vadim Feichtner serves as Music Director. The Other Josh Cohen will feature Steve Rosen, David Rossmer, Hannah Elless, Vadim Feichtner, Cathryn Salamone, Ken Triwush and Kate Wetherhead. The Other Josh Cohen will play the Millburn, New Jersey theater through March 16. The show officially opened last night, Sunday, February 23, 2014, at 7:00pm. Tony Kushner's THE ILLUSION, directed by Michael Mayer opened on Sunday, June 5, 2011. The production will play through Sunday, July 17, 2011, having extended one week. Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, has announced that its acclaimed production of Hello Again, words and music by Michael John LaChiusa (suggested by the play La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler), and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (two-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Outstanding Director for TG's The Audience and The Boys in the Band), will close April 10, at 52 Mercer Street.

WaterTower Theatre (WTT) continues its 2008‐2009 Discover Series with the regional premiere of Roberto Aguirre‐Sacasa's comedy, Based on a Totally True Story. It will run April 16 - May 3, 2009. Ethan Keene, playwright and comic book writer, is on the verge of having it all - success, money, and a Hollywood movie credit. But getting to that Hollywood Premiere may be more dramatic than the movie. His father is having a marital crisis, his boyfriend is begging for more attention, and his producer is demanding a re‐write. Based on a Totally True Story is the story of one wanna‐be screenwriter's attempt to find his own happy ending before the final credits roll.
