More than fifty years ago one musical changed theater forever. From the first note to the final breath, West Side Story soars as the greatest love story of all time. The national tour of Broadway's current smash-hit revival kicked off to rave reviews at The Fisher Theatre in Detroit on September 30.

Matthew Hydzik officially took over the role of 'Tony,' beginning Tuesday, December 15. After having understudied the role since performances began on Broadway on Monday, February 23, 2009 at Broadway's Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway), Mr. Hydzik will star as 'Tony' opposite Tony Award nominee Josefina Scaglione. Jeremy Jordan (Rock of Ages) will play the role of 'Tony' on Wednesday evenings and Sunday matinees.

West Side Story returned to Broadway in a new production directed by its two-time Tony Award winning librettist Arthur Laurents. This spring, West Side Story returns to Broadway in a groundbreaking new production. Last night it returned to where it all began for the show in 1957, the National Theatre in Washington, DC.
