Vital Theatre Company was the recipient of 2012 Best Family Show at the Off Broadway Alliance Awards Ceremony held June 19th, 2012 at Sardi's Restaurant in New York. The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the 2nd annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards Reception yesterday, June 19th at Sardi's. The awards honor outstanding achievement in Off Broadway theater for the 2011-2012 season. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Howard Kissel and Theodore Mann were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

Yesterday, BroadwayWorld reported that The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, has announced the nominees for the 2nd Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards, honoring commercial and not-for-profit productions that opened Off Broadway during the 2011-2012 season.
