The fourth annual 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' -- presented by The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre -- welcomed stars including Sierra Boggess (The Phantom of the Opera), Austin Scarlett ('Project Runway'), Karen Wyman (celebrated 60s pop singer), Alison Fraser (two-time Tony Award nominee), Jackie Hoffman (Hairspray) and Aaron Weinstein (acclaimed jazz violinist), as well as Jane Monheit (Grammy Award nominated jazz star), Sarah Dash (R&B/Disco legend of LaBelle), Rory O'Malley (Tony Award nominee, The Book of Mormon,) Julia Murney (Wicked, The Wild Party), Erin McKeown (folk-rock singer/songwriter) and Gabrielle Stravelli (Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra). Durante 2012 compagino la gira nacional de The Book of Mormon con el rodaje de Dando la nota (Pitch Perfect), su debut cinematografico que hoy ha salido a la venta en DVD y Blu-Ray en el que interpreta a un muchacho que forma parte de uno de esos grupos universitarios de canto a capella. En Dando la nota comparte protagonismo con Anna Kendrick y Skylar Astin, otros dos actores sobre los que tambien escucharemos mucho en los proximos meses. The Broadway Dreams Foundation held its second annual Champagne & Caroling Gala last night at Celsius, a restaurant, bar and event space within Citi Pond at Bryant Park (5th Ave and 42nd Street) on Monday, December 10. At this one of a kind urban winter wonderland in of the heart of midtown Manhattan, Broadway's brightest stars and patrons of the arts joined together for a festive celebration of the country's premier musical theatre training program. Tony Award-winning actress Nikki M. James delighted students as their special surprise guest during the Broadway Artists Alliance 2011 Summer Workshop. Ms. James (currently starring the the Tony Award-winning The Book of Mormon) lent her talents for a surprise Q&A with the students of Broadway Artists Alliance.
