Peter Levine's new play, APPLE, TABLE, PENNY, opened at Emerging Artist Theatre's Fall New Work Series on October 3. The production runs until October 13 at TADA Theater in mid-town and is directed by Jennifer Tuttle. Emerging Artists Theatre previously produced Levine's one-act The Gipper and his full-length play, The Kitchen Table.

First produced in 1945, Jean Giraudoux's satiric comedy THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT reveals a plot by a group of corrupt business executives to dig up the streets of Paris, so they can pump oil that they believe lies beneath. Their plot is challenged by the titular "Madwoman," the eccentric Countess Aurelia, an idealist who resolves to fight back and rescue humanity from the scheming and corrupt developers with the help of her fellow outcasts and her fellow madwomen.

The final presentation of the three shows in the Winter 2017 Musicals in Mufti Series features Alison Fraser (March of the Falsettos) as Constance, Ann Harada (Avenue Q) as Gabrielle,and Lenny Wolpe (Wicked) as The Sewerman, with Dewey Caddell (Finian's Rainbow) as The Sergeant, J. Bernard Calloway (Memphis) as President 2, Ben Cherry (Fiddler on the Roof) as The Waiter, Stephen Mo Hanan (Jolson & Co.) as President 3, Erika Henningsen (Les Miserables) as Nina, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka (A Little Night Music) as Julian, Peter Land (My Fair Lady) as President 1, Gordon Stanley (Ragtime) as The Prospector, and Kristopher Thompson-Bolden (The Nutty Professor) as The Mute. Stage Manager is Kimothy Cruse, with Assistant Stage Manager Shanna Allison. New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director; Jaynie Saunders Tiller, Managing Director), the OBIE Award-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present 'THE GERM PROJECT,' featuring the work of playwrights Kara Lee Corthron (directed by Kara-Lynn Vaeni), Lynn Rosen (directed by Shoshana Gold), Kathryn Walat (directed by Portia Krieger), and Anna Ziegler (directed by Beatrice Terry). The four 'germs' of full-length plays of scope and adventure commissioned by New Georges for this project will be presented together, fully produced, in a cohesive and satisfying ninety-minute intermission-less evening. There will be a connective thread to the pieces that will take place with visuals and storytelling. 'THE GERM PROJECT' will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). Previews will begin on June 11, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. Performances will run through July 9.
