ANIKA LARSEN, the 2014 Tony Award nominee and Drama Desk Award winner currently starring on Broadway in Beautiful -- The Carole King Musical, will introduce her debut solo CD Sing you to Sleep with a special concert at Birdland Jazz Club as part of the 'Broadway at Birdland' series tonight, March 23 at 7:00 PM. Birdland is located at 315 West 44th Street in Manhattan.

As scooped first by BroadwayWorld.com earlier this week here, the hit Broadway musical BEAUTIFUL is headed to the big screen. Sony pictures confirmed today that 'The film version of 'Beautiful' will be produced by Tom Hanks; Gary Goetzman, a producer whose movie credits include 'Mamma Mia!' in 2008; and Paul Blake, the lead producer of 'Beautiful' on Broadway. Douglas McGrath, who wrote the book for the stage production, will work on the screenplay.'

According to a listing on Amazon, BEAUTIFUL's newest star Chilina Kennedy will be releasing a solo folk-pop album titled WHAT YOU FIND IN A BOTTLE on April 14, 2015.

On Sunday night, Beautiful took home the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, and just yesterday, the cast of the Tony Award-winning hit celebrated the show's recent Grammy Award victory on stage at the Sondheim Theatre. Their Grammy isn't here yet, but in its place, Carole King allowed them to celebrate their victory with one of her very own Grammy Awards trophies!
